This acquisition increases CLT-UFA’s total interest in M6 to 41.9%.
This reflects CLT-UFA’s strategy of strengthening its presence in free-to-air television in Europe. Other acquisitions in recent weeks include 49.9% of VOX in Germany and an offer for shares held by Warburg Pincus in the UK’s Channel 5 .
CLT-UFA is Europe’s largest radio and television group, with holdings in some 40 radio stations and television channels - most of them leaders in their respective markets : RTL in France, RTL Television in Germany, RTL TVI in Belgium, HMG in the Netherlands and UFA Sports in Europe. The group is also active in production and in rights distribution.
