Intern in Strategy and Digital Business Development (m/f)

Your challenge:

  • Support the analysis and documentation of new media market developments, competitive positioning and trends in video viewing across Europe and the US;
  • Assist Strategy team members with existing projects, in particular related to digital distribution,  new production formats, advertising technology and big data: assess strategic fit, collect and analyze required data, interview experts and stakeholders, build business plan, communicate to RTL Group companies and senior management, manage day-to-day project activities, etc.;
  • Scan market for interesting technology investment / acquisition opportunities, assist in company valuation and investment presentations along with the M&A team;
  • Create relationships with RTL Group companies across Europe, and facilitate cross-unit conversations on relevant topics;
  • Monitor latest industry trends and attend relevant industry events.

Your profile:

  • You are currently studying for a university degree, preferably for a Master’s degree in business administration, finance or marketing, with a focus on Strategy, Digital Transformation or Business Development;

  • You are passionate about the Media industry, and up to date on most recent media-related trends;

  • You have gathered previous work experience through internships or school projects, ideally for a media company or consulting firm;

  • You have very good analytical skills;

  • You have very strong communication skills;

  • You are fluent in English (both written and spoken), any other European language would be an advantage (particularly French and German);

  • You have good MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint;

  • You have the cultural awareness to work in an international team;

  • You are willing to travel within Europe.

You will be reporting directly to the Strategy Senior Executive and have an opportunity to collaborate with senior managers across the Group.
