I joined RTL for an internship towards the end of my business school studies. At that time, I wanted to work in the media business and RTL’s leading position in radio was most appealing to me. I worked in marketing with the advertising sales house of RTL. My mission consisted in optimizing media plans in terms of performance. My internship proved to be particularly enriching. I was given the opportunity to work in a big sales house and to acquire knowledge in different areas there. Besides, my work experience included shouldering a great deal of responsibility. The team very quickly placed their confidence in me and entrusted me the management of increasingly important dossiers. I also learnt to what extent flexibility is vital when dealing with the requirements of advertisers and agencies. Towards the end of my training, the Human Resources department and the General Management helped me to plan my professional future corresponding to my profile. That’s how I joined the Mediapanel team as member of the Marketing researches and development team.
Mediapanel is a subsidiary of RTL Group’s French radio activities, which is specialized in musical programming strategy and in editorial counselling mainly done by relying on conducting studies. It was the strong musical focus and the possibilities of career development of this job opportunity that were appealing to me. After my earlier internship with Mediapanel, I was familiar with the company and all the advantages it offers: a young and dynamic team and above all, a true corporate culture.
My role within this team is to ensure the implementation of online musical studies and to monitor the technical aspects. The objective is to have a clear and real-time picture of the musical expectations of the radio audience. The idea that my work really has an impact on the development of RTL’s musical and editorial programming is a real source of motivation for me and it strengthens my engagement for the company.
I highly value my internship at RTL, which for me was the stepping stone into the working world. It strengthened my feeling of belonging and the confidence I have in the company.
