RTL Lëtzebuerg continues to reinforce its leadership in Luxembourg. The channels and stations of RTL remain the first source of information for Luxembourgers. According to a study of ILReS*, RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg achieved an average audience share of 71 per cent , this means six out of ten Luxembourgers listen to RTL Radio every day. RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg outperformed the markets with a 67 per cent share: more than 50 per cent of the Luxembourgers watch RTL every day. RTL.lu, the internet offer of RTL Lëtzebuerg is also performing very well: 59 per cent of the internet user regulary consult the RTL websites. RTL Lëtzebuerg maintains the hightest reputation for news, entertainment and services and aims to further strenghten this image by investing in its products including new programmes and programme sets.
New programmes are among others the magazine "Magazin Stonn" directed by Felix Eischen (pictured left) and a re-worked version of "Picco Bello" (pictured right), the famous game show presented by Dan Spogen.
In sports, RTL will broadcast tennis, basketball, footbal as well as live the Tour de France.
With regards to RTL Radio, the station will this autumn season broadcast more news, an additional full hour between 6 and 7 p.m.
RTL New Media will complete its internet offer by adding the websites chat.lu and planet.rtl.lu to its portfolio. chat.lu is the first video chat website in Luxembourg and planet.rtl.lu follows the success of the of the TV magazine Planet, targeted to young people.
