The good audience ratings achieved by RTL-TVI can be attributed to the new programmes on its schedule. As for feature films, Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis was a record hit, with 1.4 million fans on 7 March for a total audience share of 67.1 per cent, while the 4 March broadcast of Astérix aux Jeux olympiques drew 811,800 viewers for a total audience share of 45.3 per cent.
RTL-TVI’s magazine shows also contributed to the channel’s success. Programmes like Le phénomène Ch’tis, Tout s’explique and Indices achieved good ratings, with a respective 851,400, 634,100 and 589,000 viewers for a total audience share of 46.7, 35.8 and 33.5 per cent. Entertainment programmes fared equally well, with the show Votez pour moi on 28 March drawing 580,600 viewers, a 31.7 per cent total audience share, and Top Chef on 29 March drawing 449,200 culinary fans, a 31.3 percent audience share.
The channel could also count on the success of its American series. The broadcast of Les Experts Miami (CSI Miami) on 14 March drew 675,500 viewers for a total audience share of 36.9 per cent. Ratings were also high for Esprits Criminels (Criminal Minds), with 673,900 fans tuning in on 23 March for a 34.9 per cent audience share, and for Les Experts (CSI) with 661,100 viewers on 15 March for a 33.9 per cent total audience share.
