Wentink Events’ founder Frank Wentink will remain CEO of the company. RTL Nederland is acquiring the shares in Wentink Events from the previous shareholders, Stage Entertainment. "For us, this represents a further step in expanding our activities in the event and entertainment industry," said Bert Habets, CEO of RTL Nederland. "The fact that we can do this together with an experienced and professional partner like Wentink Events is fantastic. We look forward to working together."
Frank Wentink is equally delighted: "RTL Nederland is a strategic partner whose highly motivated employees we will be working with in future. This is a dream come true for me."
Wentink Events organises major Dutch events such as Voetballer van het jaar and KNSB Schaats Gala, as well as dinner shows and fundraising galas such as the Majoor Bosshardt Gala. The company has organised numerous events for RTL Nederland over the past three years, including theatre shows with Derek Ogilvy and Char, the X Factor live concerts and - together with Nyenrode - the RTL Z Masterclasses.
