Sportcast; cbc; Teaser Extra time for CBC Sportcast will continue to rely on the proven expertise of the Cologne Broadcasting Center for its international live Bundesliga coverage: the cooperation has just been extended by another two years.

CBC developed a custom, multiply redundant solution for the Deutsche Fußball Liga (German Football League) subsidiary. It ensures the editorial preparation, processing and distribution of live matches for foreign-language, international programming. Starting with the upcoming season, three top matches per day of play will be broadcast in HD quality.  CBC also produces a summary for each match, the ‘Highlights’.

In addition, CBC broadcasts the matches of the first and second Bundesliga, with live commentary in foreign languages and matching graphics, to all continents around the world. Currently, as many as 181 countries receive the games of Germany’s top two professional leagues.

“The production, editing and distribution of foreign-language Bundesliga Live coverage is an exciting job. We are delighted that Sportcast has decided to go into extra time with CBC,” says Thomas Harscheidt, managing director of CBC. Josef Nehl, managing director of Sportcast, adds:  “CBC has done an excellent job meeting our high quality standards, the special security standards that dealing with premium Bundesliga content requires, and providing extremely high redundancy over recent years. For this reason, we will continue to rely on CBC’s expertise.”
