Since the beginning of June, individual RTL Television magazines such as Explosiv have been broadcast from the new broadcasting centre in Cologne-Deutz. The latest changes make Super RTL the first Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland channel to have switched completely to the new file-based, tapeless Broadcasting technology.

The technology is essentially identical to that which will be used in future by Vox and RTL Television. Vox is scheduled to make the switch in August, RTL Television in September. The analogue uplinks will remain in Ossendorf.
Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland’s move is to be completed by the end of the year.
