W9’s ratings show significant growth from one year to the next, with a 0.6-point increase from April 2009. Plenty of shows proved to be hits with audiences, especially football. The Europa League quarterfinal match between Liverpool and Benfica Lisbon on 8 April 2010 had 1.2 million viewers in front of their TV sets – the highest audience score ever for a football match on W9.

Garfield
W9’s audience is fond of films, as proved by Crocodile Dundee, which charmed 1.3 million viewers on 18 April 2010. The adventures of Garfield, the notoriously lazy big orange cat, attracted 1.1 million viewers on 15 April.

Gordon Ramsay
The made-in-UK culinary reality show Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares beat its previous audience record for the season on 11 April with 670,000 viewers in the early evening. Presented by Sidonie Bonnec and Paul Lefèvre, the human-interest magazine show Enquêtes criminelles also beat its previous audience record, with 1 million viewers on 7 April. The new magazine show Vies croisées, presented by Marie-Ange Calsata, had an excellent debut, attracting 800,000 viewers the day of its launch on 21 April 2010.
