Spelbound_BGT_TEASER Spelbound wins Britain's Got Talent Acrobatic troupe Spelbound won the finale of Britain's Got Talent, taking home the GBP 100,000 dollar prize and a slot at the Royal Variety Performance.

After the final announcement, Spelbound team member Edward Uppcott said: "Wow. Getting the Queen to watch us... that will be a great experience." Already before, Simon Cowell said they were the "most astonishing thing" he had seen on live television. Amanda Holden already tipped them as an opening act for the 2012 Olympics.

The runners-up were Twist and Pulse, a London dance group who only met two years ago. Holden described their unusual act as "a glimpse of the future". Already in the past, Britain's Got Talent has been fertile ground for dancers. The second series was won by George Sampson, a teenage breakdancer, and last year's title went to Diversity, a frenetic, inventive troupe from east London. Third was Kieran Gaffney, a 13-year-old drummer from Kent.
