To get visitors properly in the mood for the party, the Amsterdam Zuid railway station will even be renamed Station 538. Here, visitors will receive a rousing welcome: opposite the station is a stage set up specifically for the occasion, on which Quintino, the festival team and the Radio 538 DJs will be seen throughout the day.
The party on Amsterdam’s Museumplein begins at 12:00 noon today: Dutch stars including Jan Smit, Alain Clark, Kane and Stromae will come to perform and celebrate Koninginnedag with their fans.
Last year, the Festival on Museumsplein attracted more than 300,000 enthusiastic visitors, and a similar turnout is expected this year. Radio 538 and the Radio538.nl website will provide live coverage of the festival all day, and RTL 5 will air a summary in that evening.
