On Bel RTL, news comes first. Weekdays as well as weekends, the editorial department’s journalists will be there to bring listeners a steady stream of news programmes, the Journal des sports, holiday weather forecasts and, throughout the month of July, L’invité politique. Several new columns add a touch of lightness to the summer programme schedule, including Les portraitistes, where Christophe Giltay and Frédéric Bastien present the portrait of a personality, and La gazette de l’été, hosted by Sylvie Degrelle, Olivia François or Camie Thys, where the journalists will discuss ideas for outings, internships for students and summertime reading as well as topics on the quality of life, health, culture and the out of the ordinary. On Les jeunes ont la parole, young people will present their view of the world around them in a sequence produced in collaboration with Belgium’s Delegate General for Children’s Rights. As well, the entire RTL Trafic team will be on hand to keep listeners informed on road traffic conditions and to help them plan their trips accordingly.
Bel RTL will also celebrate summer in music, with new shows like Les petites histoires des grandes chansons on Saturday from 18:15 to 19:00 and Magnéto Serge, Monday to Friday from 23:00 to midnight. Listeners can participate in music quizzes and win plenty of prizes on shows like Le Challenger, Monday to Friday from 18:15 to 19:00, Le Super Challenger, Saturday from 13:10 to 16:00 and Tout le monde il est beau, tout le monde il est gentil, weekends between 9:10 and 12:00.
Among Bel RTL’s essential programmes, listeners will find a show dedicated entirely to holidays called Last Minute, Monday to Friday from 13:10 to 16:00, with trips to be won, La route des vacances, Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 11:00, and Les terrasses de l’été, Monday to Friday from 19:00 to 23:00 and Saturday from 21:00 to 23:00. The shows Radio Manoeuvre – Absolutely Live with Philippe Manœuvre and Les Grosses Têtes, with the year’s best moments by Philippe Bouvard and friends, will air respectively on Saturday from 19:00 to 20:00 and daily from 16:00 to 18:00.
It also promises to be a very musical summer on Radio Contact. On the schedule this season: games, prizes to be won and ideas and tips for summer destinations. From 5 to 9 July, listeners will have a chance to dive into the summer’s top hits and leave with tickets for the TW Classic, where fans can applaud Mika, the Black Eyed Peas, Scissor Sisters and Amy Macdonald.
This year is Radio Contact’s 30th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, the Radio Contact team will be visiting different parts of Belgium and inviting listeners to help assemble the play list for the next “30 years of Radio Contact” compilation.
